Tarn for bike, boat & gear rentals

Rental booking software that tracks every unit.

Demo bikes by size, kayaks by the day, a weekend package that costs less per day. Customers book what's actually on the rack, and your crew knows what's out and what's late.

A rental shop runs on one question: where is the medium hardtail right now, and when is it coming back? Tarn sells each size against the units you actually have in service, prices by the length of the rental, and gives the customer a pickup window and a return-by time in writing. On the day, one card shows every unit that's out, overdue, waiting to be picked up, or back on the rack, and the rental sheet lets anyone on the crew hand one over or check it in from a phone.

Built for how you run

The parts of your day Tarn already knows.

Sold against the rack

Every size is backed by real units with a label and a serial. Send one for repair and it comes off sale until it's back. A booked size stays listed as Booked, so customers know it exists.

Priced by the day, cheaper by the week

One rate ladder for the whole rental (1 day, 2 days, a week) with an optional weekend price on any row. Multi-day rentals hold the unit on every day they cover.

Know what's out, and what's late

The dashboard counts overdue, out, to pick up, returned, and available across every rental you run, with the next due-back time. An overdue unit carries a Call link to the rider.

Waivers signed before anyone shows up

Every guest gets a digital waiver link with their confirmation, reminders chase the ones who haven't signed, and the morning manifest shows exactly who's outstanding, so the van leaves on time.

Your website, your Stripe account

The booking widget embeds on the site you already own, payments run through your own Stripe account with payouts straight to your bank, and every booking, contact, and waiver exports anytime.

Pay only when you're running

No monthly fee and no contract. Tarn takes a published 3% per booking, stepping down to 2% as you grow, and a closed season costs you $0.

Common questions

Can I rent gear alongside guided trips?

Yes. Rentals live on their own page with Today, Week, and Fleet views, and your trips stay where they are. The calendar and bookings list show both, with a switch to see one kind at a time.

What happens when a rental comes back late?

It shows as Overdue on the dashboard with a Call link to the rider. When it's back, close it with no fee or extend it by a day at your next rate. A separate late-fee charge isn't built yet.

Can I take a security deposit?

Use card on file. Turn it on and the card saved at checkout can be charged later for damage or a late return, with the customer's consent in your policy.
