Every trip running today shows its gauge reading, the trend, and the weather at the meeting spot. You make the call, and Tarn shows the numbers.
Pick a USGS gauge for an activity once, and its flow and trend show on your dashboard next to today's trips. Weather comes from where the activity meets, and both refresh every half hour.
Pick the gauge once
Enter the USGS site number on the activity's Details tab. Tarn checks it as you type and shows the gauge name and the current flow.
Weather follows the meeting spot
There's no separate weather setup. Tarn reads the forecast where the activity meets.
The same directions link everywhere
Paste a Google or Apple Maps link, coordinates, or an address. The same Get Directions button shows up in the confirmation, the reminder, the guest's booking page, and the guide's manifest.
- Flow in CFS, with a rising, falling, or steady trend
- Every reading stamped with the time it was taken
- 'Gauge offline' instead of an old reading

- Conditions are readings, not a verdict. Tarn never says a river is runnable.
- Flow comes from USGS gauges, so it covers US rivers. There are no lake, tide, or snow feeds.
- Conditions are for you and your crew. Guests don't see them.
Which rivers are supported?
Any river with a USGS gauge. If your stretch has none, leave it blank, and the weather still works.
How current is the reading?
Tarn refreshes every 30 minutes and stamps each reading with the time. If a gauge stops reporting for more than 90 minutes, it says Gauge offline.
