Product · Digital waivers

Signed before anyone reaches the put-in.

Every booking carries its waiver link. Each guest signs their own. Reminders do the chasing, and the manifest shows who's still outstanding.

The waiver goes out with the confirmation, so the week before the trip does the work. One link covers the party, and each guest, adult or minor, signs their own. As the departure nears, the reminders escalate from email to text to a push on your guide's phone. The morning of, the manifest shows exactly who still owes a signature.

How it works

One link, every signer

The confirmation email includes Sign Your Waiver. The booker opens it once; each person in the party signs their own, with name, date of birth, and emergency contact. Minors sign through a parent or guardian.

Reminders that escalate

Waiver escalation is on for every confirmed booking: an email the day before, then an email (and a text, if you've turned texting on) a few hours out, then a push to the assigned guides when it's urgent. It stops the moment the last signature lands.

Your wording, their signature

Edit the waiver text at Settings → Waivers & Policies. Every signature snapshots the exact wording that was signed, with a typed name, the date, IP address, and device, and a PDF you can pull up any time.

On the manifest

The booking sheet shows 2 of 4 signed. The Daily Manifest shows a Waivers Pending count and color-codes each booking, so the van doesn't leave with a surprise.

Grow your list while they sign

A 'Stay in the loop' box at the bottom of the waiver asks for an email, unchecked by default. Signers who opt in become contacts, tagged as subscribed, ready for your next export.

Good to know
  • Tarn sends the link to the booker and puts it on the Manage booking page. You can copy it to text to the rest of the party; Tarn doesn't email each guest separately.
  • Signatures are typed names, not drawings. Every signature keeps the wording, time, IP address, and device it was signed with.
  • There's no SmartWaiver sync yet. If you use SmartWaiver today, you'd keep it alongside Tarn.
Common questions

Does each guest sign separately?

Yes. One link reaches the party, and each person signs their own waiver with their own name, date of birth, and emergency contact. The booking shows how many of the party have signed.

What if someone shows up unsigned?

Open the booking on your phone and tap Send Waiver Request, or copy the link and text it. They sign on their own phone at the ramp and the manifest updates.

Can I use my own waiver text?

Yes. Edit it at Settings → Waivers & Policies. New signatures use the new wording immediately; old signatures keep the wording they signed.

Is a typed signature enforceable?

Tarn records the typed name, the exact text signed, the time, the IP address, and the device, and produces a PDF on demand. Whether that satisfies your insurer is a question for your insurer; most accept e-signatures with that evidence.
