We moved seven seasons off Adventure Office. Line by line.
Before Tarn asked any outfitter to switch, we migrated our own: Alpine Adventures, the Pacific Northwest rafting company Tarn was built inside. Every booking since 2020, every guest, every payment, every signed waiver. This is what “free migration help” actually means.
The honest part, first.
Alpine Adventures isn't an arm's-length customer — it's the outfitter Tarn was built to run. That's exactly why it was the right test: if the migration mangled a deposit or lost a waiver, the person it burned was us, on a Saturday morning, at the put-in. So it had to survive our own scrutiny before we'd offer it to anyone else.
The starting point
Seven seasons of history locked in Adventure Office: about 6,900 bookings, 12,900 guests, and every deposit and balance payment since 2020, plus hundreds of signed waivers that Adventure Office has no export for at all. Your guests signed them; the system holds them.
What “migration” actually meant
Not a spreadsheet dump. Every booking came across with its payments attached and its balance intact, matched to the right trip, and tagged with its original reservation ID, so any line in Tarn can be traced back to the source system and checked.
Guests kept their history too: the full contact list came over, not just the people with upcoming trips, so a returning guest's fifth season looks like a fifth season.
No big-bang weekend
The import re-runs safely. Adventure Office stayed the live booking system while Tarn synced alongside it, with new bookings, edits, and payments flowing across on each run, and the switch happens when you're ready, not when the data finally cooperates. No double entry, no booking freeze, no “we'll see you in a quarter.”
What it costs
Nothing. Migration help is free, and there's no monthly fee waiting on the other side. Tarn takes 3% per booking, stepping down with volume, so an empty off-season costs you $0.
Your data is yours. Even the parts your current system won't export.
